Christmas porridge

Christmas porridge

Today we have a recipe for you for a cozy, warm and Christmas snack in winter: a Christmas porridge!

  • 400 ml soy drink (best homemade with your vegan star )
  • 100 g of oatmeal
  • 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • a pinch of clove and anise powder each
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or a sugar alternative)
  • optional: topping with linseed and sesame seeds, nuts, raisins and orange peel

Heat the soy drink together with the oat flakes in a saucepan and stir again and again. When the oatmeal has soaked up the liquid and thickened to a pulpy mass, turn down the heat. Now squeeze the orange and add the juice to the porridge. Also stir in the cinnamon, clove and anise powder as well as the sugar. If the porridge becomes too “firm”, you can simply add a little more soy drink.

Now take the porridge off the stove, put it in bowls and if you want, you can of course top it. A few peeled pieces of the orange peel and raisins are suitable as a topping for that certain “Christmas touch”. And for the nutrient boost, you can top your porridge with flax or sesame seeds and nuts. Now the Christmas porridge is ready – enjoy it!
